Sorry if this is obvious! But how warm should the units get. Mine gets quite warm when sitting on the coffee table uploading music to it, playing etc.
Theres also a smell like "the back of a hi-fi" out of the top vent... is all this normal? Cheers.

Yeah, but that just says not to put it in the oven or fridge or something! I'm talking about normal home use.

You should be fine. If you load HiJack, you can have your player shut off at certain designated temperatures...

Put hijack onto it and then look at the vital signs screen. Mine usually stays around 40C/105F when it's running on my desk.
