Hi.

Does anyone know where these are sold? They're the little widgets that you drop in a bowl of water, which then produce a mist on the surface that drifts around in a pretty manner. I know they're not all that expensive, but I'm not sure where you buy the things. If I can find one in the LA/Las Vegas that would be useful.

I'm fairly sure the thing you're after can be had from Maplins, I saw something like you described in the window of the branch over the road from work...

Yeah. They've got a mister module on promotion at the moment for £9.99 (Was only £12.99 anyway) here. Saw it in the leaflet they sent me.

If you need to make small amounts of fog the best method I've seen is the "glycol fluid through an ID tube wrapped around a soldering iron" at the "electric stuff" site mentioned recently:

Hey Mister,

F&Q makes them in China and has an office in S. El Monte (near LA). I'm sure that if you stopped in their office they would give you a couple of samples. If not, they're only $16, which seems high, until you see their unit. It's quite a bit heavier than what you find in gift stores and made of stainless.

F&Q can be reached at (626) 455-0884, or [email protected]

"Garden Centers" sell those as "pond misters" (or "foggers").
