something bizarre happened this evening... - 25/09/2002 20:51

I switched to the tuner. It was on FM. I hit the tuner button on the remote again, then tuned in AM 1020 (KDKA, the most powerful AM station around, just to see how they sounded since it was after dusk and hence all the stations which drop power to protect clear channels in the evening had already done so). After a minute I heard enough to know it was all good, and hit the tuner button again. The player displayed "FM"... and AM 1020 was still on. Switched back, then back to FM. Same.

Ok, so I switched to the player. It was paused and I couldn't unpause it. Gave up, restarted the player and it was fine, and didn't happen again.

Very weird.

I also had a strange thing happen on the tuner with 2.0b13 yesterday.

I was switching among presets, and I switched from 88.9fm to the next preset which was 90.9fm. The 90.9 station was silence. Odd, I thought, they've got dead air. But after the silence got unbearable, I switched away from the preset and back again, and the station was there just fine. It wasn't dead air, the tuner was playing silence after I switched the station, and it took another switch away and back to get it working again. Couldn't reproduce it a second time.

Anyone else?

Tony, what you describe happened to me twice. I couldn't remember what happened once I got back to a computer, otherwise I would have posted it. You jogged my memory, and I can confirm that this has indeed happened to me at least twice. Both times were with 2b13 without HiJack.

Okay, entered both into internal bugbase.
