Easy wish?

I often find myself wanting to listen to something different, yet unable to decide what I want to listen to and reluctant to scroll through my entire collection. At those times I really don't want a full random shuffle, but I would like a random artist or album.

It'd be great to be able to just hit a few buttons and have a random artist or a random album selected. Preferably, something like an extra entry or two off the down arrow. Go to playlists, then sideways to "random artist" or "random album" and boom... have a small random artist or album selected, preferably playing the album in the proper track order if selected by album.

Anyway, just a pie in the sky I guess, but it's sure something that I'd use.

Really easy. You can do it yourself with a simple custom playlist.

Funny, my player works like that already!
I have "Random Artist" and "Random Album" playlists.

I don't have time to look it up right this second, but I know that a year or two ago, someone posted step by step instructions on how to set up this very thing.

...which is when I immediately ran over to my player and did so.

Yeah, I really like my "Random Album" playlist. I use it all the time.
The "Random Artist" thing on the other hand is not something I use very much.
