10 for the front 10 for the back - 04/03/2002 22:17

I'd like to be able to use 2 channel mode in a slightly different way.
I'd like to have a 10 band eq for the front and a 10 band eq for the rear.
This makes more sense to me than a 10-band for the left and a 10-band for the right because left and right speakers in the car usually match, whereas front and rear speakers usually do not.

This raises the "I wish there were 3 outputs" concern because if you cut out the low pass stuff for your fronts and rears, then there's no signal for your subs. Any way to get a third set of "non-fading" outputs for sub woofers?
what about the set on the unit itself, can we hack into those,
I know this is a stretch, but we've got illuminated button add-ons, how about third output add-ons ? Anyone ?

IIRC you can already do that, you can choose if you want to lock front/rear or left/right together (or keep them all separate for 4x5 bands). Haven't got my empeg here to play with right now though...

You cannot do 10 front and 10 rear.

This is a limitation of DSP chip, not a limitation of the player software. There is no way to "trick" or "work around" this limitation of the DSP in software.

The only option the DSP gives us is 5 front and 5 rear, or 10 left and 10 right. Sorry.

Aha... my misunderstanding - haven't had any reason to play with that myself...
