"Now and Next" anomalies in 2.0b3

"Now and Next" anomalies in 2.0b3 - 17/10/2001 17:38

Now and next seems to have weird things happening in 2.0.

1. The wrong "now" track is sometimes shown in the case where I am in a different Info mode (say, transient) and then switch to Now and Next. Sometimes when the track hits the 5 second mark, the current song replaces the incorrect "now" song, provided you're in Now and Next when this happens. If you're not in "now and next" at the 5 second mark, the previous (incorrect) "now" song is shown. Obviously if you're in now and next when you switch tracks, the correct titles are shown.

2. Sometimes no "now" track is shown at all. I've seen this a bunch of times but I'm not sure how I got this one to happen but it involved switching between info modes and switching tracks.

Anyone else seen these oddities?

I confirm n.2 . So far I would say it never appeared here. Always a blank line at the top of the list.

Known bugs. Cosmetic only. Were already in the internal database when 2.0b3 was released. Will be fixed eventually.

Question: would it be useful / practical to post a thread with known bugs (moderated) so that people can check there before raising them here?

Known bugs (including this one) are in release notes (but a moderated thread would neatly accomodate new ones, of course .)

Most of the known bugs are in the release notes. That one slipped through.

And it's OK if you post them here, doesn't hurt anything and allows everyone to see how widespread a given problem is.
