I did get a reply from Jean on the irda mailing list, he just told me to upgrade the IrDA stack and to upgrade my version if irdadump. I can upgrade irdadump, and I will see if there is any difference in the output, but I don't think that backporting the IrDA stack for Linux from 2.4 to 2.2 will be something I will attempt. I am positive that it is something that I am doing wrong on the PocketPC side, since the Palm version of Palantir works perfectly every time, and you have given me someplace to start!
