The leds were a challenge the case style on them is 0603 very tiny, the best way I found to remove them is too cut the old ones off with a xacto knife, that way you can reuse the old leds if you like, and it doesn't hurt the pcb, then just use some tweezers and very low heat to solder on the new ones.
