Cyro came out with this last year. It's a color shifting plastic and it's very cool. How do I know?

Gahh, I literally choked when I saw that picture. That is just intense!

I don't see these lenses on the Filener site. Do these lenses exist yet?

Too bad I only look at my empeg from one angle. Maybe I should "install" my empeg to dangle from my rear view mirror.

Cool .So depending on your viewing angle(left or right) that determines the color that you see?Does the color also change with the up or down angle?

Thanks, exactly my reaction when I first installed it. The plastic has a mirrored coating that I'm sure will make it impossible to read in the sun but it does look nice in low light.

Not sure if you'll ever see them on the site. Last time I tried to source the plastic, I found it was not in production yet and it was going to be very expensive. In addition, the only thickness available at the time was 1/8" which requires a two piece lens. Cyro was kind enough to send me a small sample which was promptly cut into two lenses, one to fit the NewFace lens and another for the old fascia.

The color shifts at any change in viewing angle. Up, down, left, right, and positions in between. At the most extreme viewing angles, it appears green and colrs shift through G - Y - V - B where blue is visible at a 90 degree viewing angle.

http://www.by-photos.de/PolFace.html but they are no longer available. Do a search on NewFace for more info. FYI, Webroach is working on a new aluminum fascia.

An eye candy indeed.
Only if your NewFace had the same effect...

I wonder if credit card logos use the same type material or work on the same principle.

Color shifting fascia? A quick shot of paint could do it http://www.colorshift.com/index.php?s=galleries but I think I like the chrome on the NewFace better. I'm not sure how the plastic is done or if it's similar to the credit card holograms. I've got a small piece of the plastic that I'm going to cut up for button caps so I should be able to tell pretty quick if it's a film or embedded.
