ngchol stranger Registered: 04/09/2001 Posts: 78	The empeg is working fine in the car. However, the last couple of times I've tried to plug it in indoors, the empeg doesn't power up, I get a rapid, constant clicking noise coming from my speakers and also from the small box located a couple of inches down the power lead from the input jack. I looked in the FAQ but couldn't see anything that covers this - anybody familiar with this one? It doesn't happen every time, which makes it hard to figure out! Is it safe to continue plugging in the empeg?

I've only seen the tiny box thing on some power supplies. I find it hard to imagine that the ferrite beads would be clicking... But anyway it's likely you have a bad power supply and need to get a new one. _________________________ Tony Fabris

Unfortunately the Maplin link in that section of the FAQ (I'm UK-based) points to a discontinued product - has anybody successfully replaced the supply with an alternative in the UK? The supply that came with the empeg was made by Sunpower, model number MA15-150.
