ok, got ppp over usb wokring.
Displayserver in generally works but if I start the player (tried ReduceCache 32, 64) all TCP-traffic is blocked !?
(ppp-link is stil established - if I quit the player itīs all OK again)

The obvious question is have you told the player to ignore the USB port?

I can't remember if there is a command line switch for that.

OK, it's working, but how?
What are the package or the patch to install on my MK1?
I'm not I Linux geek, but I done my HD upgrade alone though.

Thanx.
