Hi, what are 60 gig players selling for these days. I purchased mine back in January and never got around to using it more than a couple of hours in the house. It has the car kit, remote, etc no tuner. It has about 6000 mp3s on there. With over 5000 of them being club/eurodance/techno/trance. Also, when people sell them do they usually remove their collections. I searched and mostly found prices for smaller units. Thanks in adavance.

If you bought it in January it should have cost $499 from Sonic Blue. I'm not sure what they would sell for now but somewhere around $700 without overcharging too much. But you could ask whatever you want and see if anyone bites.

As for the music they are usually sold without due to copy protection laws.

Somebody is selling a 10Gig on Ebay (that is even missing the docking sled), and is going to get about $600 for it.

Interesting side note, I checked carplayer to see what their price is up to, and they are finally sold out. They had this to say, which I found a tad odd.

In reply to:

EMPEG MK2a 30gig (Holds 7500 Songs) player with all standard accessories.*SOLD OUT!* ALL 10, 20, 30, and 40 gig units out of stock, sorry, we will not have any more in stock due to the very expensive manufacture cost. Check back in a few weeks for our new audio/video player, music video divx files are great in any car!

wow, 600 bucks for a 10 gig. Guess 700 wouldnt be out of reach for a 60 gig then.

Shame you put it on ebay, but I guess you'll get a higher price that way.

Laura, I just posted it there, since there didnt seem to be much interest on the 60GB on here, but if somebody wanted to buy it off of here, then I would just cancel the auction if I didnt have any bids yet.--Charlie

That was actually me who sold the 10gig for $610. I didn't really even plan on it selling for that much.

I had a Buy it now price of $450 and my reserve was set at $350. But hey I'll take it

Good luck with your 60gb auction!
