The pacing reminds me of Cowboy Bebop. But apart from the Japanese influence on the animation and eclectic soundtrack, they really don't have much else in common.

Anyone else watch this show? It's only been on for less than two months in my market, so I have no idea when the original air dates were in the US.

Tonight's episode has Samuel L Jackson playing a white guy. The first episiode I saw had Ed Asner playing a white guy that looked exactly like Ed Asner.

Um, it's based on a social comedy syndicated comic strip. What the hell does it have in common with an animated science fiction action/adventure?

Oh, uh, original air dates.

Pacing and music. It just has that "feel" to it.

I checked the air dates after the post. Unfortunately anything syndicated seems to be well behind up here, including South Park and Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Anyway, highly recommended. The TV show is much better than the comic strip.
