New house is almost complete. Need to start thinking about what kit I'm going to have, we have a "plant" room where I'll have a server or NAS running slimserver, the rest is unknown at this stage but I'm thinking:

Source 1: Sky+ (a bit like Tivo for US readers)
Source 2: Unknown software or hardware Freeview (digital terrestrial PVR)
Source 3: PC Mainly for browsing/email but also connecting to the office sometimes (via RDP)
Video distribution via HD Anywhere
Source 4: Network video player (maybe???)

Each output location (cat6 wired) will have a Squeezebox and TV.

My questions are:

Has anyone tried the HD Anywhere product?

Should my freeview PVR be standalone hardware (e.g. a Humax or similar), PC attached hardware (like various Hauppauge products I've seen advertised) or an internal PC card with software?

Seeing as there'll be a PC in there I'm leaning toward either a PC with card or PC attached receiver/PVR but I've never used one. I know there are Linux and Windows options on this, I don't mind either as long as the PC will still run; slimserver, a browser, email client, Acrobat and an RDP client.

Any thoughts appreciated
