edsmiata addict Registered: 18/08/2002 Posts: 544 Loc: New Jersey	Checked the FAQ's but the solution didn't really help me. I have some MP3's that i cannot FF or REW plus when i start the car the songs always start from the beginning. The source/executable is available from the Hijack page. There are probably other ways to fix the files, this is just one of them. Cheers

(That one was the first search result when searching the FAQ for the terms "fast forward and rewind".) I don't understand why it didn't help you, because it links to the exact fix that Mark is telling you to use. And it also tells you that version 1.0x software can't rewind or fast forward VBR files properly. Are you saying that fixing the VBR headers on the file, or upgrading to version 2.0, doesn't solve your problem? _________________________ Tony Fabris

edsmiata addict Registered: 18/08/2002 Posts: 544 Loc: New Jersey	well....i have the latest software...and the counter on the display is set to run backwards (to zero)...but when i play these particular tracks the counter runs forward (from zero)and i am not able to ff or rew also when i start the car again the song always restarts at the beginning regardless of where it was when i turned the car off Ed _________________________ ...One man gathers what another man spills

However you should check and see what the file's bitrate is. Are you certain the problem is on just the one WMA file? _________________________ Tony Fabris

edsmiata addict Registered: 18/08/2002 Posts: 544 Loc: New Jersey	Tony, No actually it is for the entire CD that I ripped, which wouldnt be a problem to re-rip it except for the fact that i cant find the damn thing! the bitrate is 160ish kps...anything higher results in skips and artifacts..
