Has anyone tried installing their empegs with a Soundgate Universal Radio Replacement Interface model #OEM4A?

Im just trying to install my empeg while using my bose amp and I noticed that it (the soundgate unit) wants the speaker lead outputs from the empeg and not rca's.

Would it be possible to use an RCA adapter type cable that has both positive and negative? or am I hooped?

anyone?

Speaker level output (amplified) is not the same as RCA (line level, unamplified) output.

It might work, but it might be too quiet.

Nah. I think that the collective knowledge of this BBS probably knows everything, though.

I think for soundgate's products, it would be best to send them an email asking which products to use to adapt a headunit that only has pre-outs, to a factory amp system. They have 2/4 channel line level matching adapters, but they look like they are RCA-->RCA..
