Here's the first one. Gotta thank clownburner for the awesome boot logo. Also have a "Boxster S" script logo that I have to upload.

and, one more unrelated pic. Had some bad luck yesterday when someone decided to leave a side street without checking if traffic was coming. Thank god the boxster brakes are so good. No one was injured, mostly just the front bumper of my boxster

You are the poor bastard that spun across 7 lanes of traffic in Atlanta are you?? JK When I came home this morning at like 7am I saw a boxster that had spun across the interstate and slammed into the wall....I assume since no one was at the scene he was drunk and left the car. Its so sad to see such a car in such a state.

Dude, that sucks. Sometimes I think driving tests should be harder so lameasses like the one who drove into you won't be on the road. Cool pics though, can't wait to get mine installed.

rough guess $5-7k. the other guy had to worse part of the deal though. He was w/out insurance and with a suspended license. They impounded his car and he probably, like me, wishes it had not happened.

I am impressed that you seem to realize that, even though it is a Porsche Boxter S, it is still just a car and that the important thing is nobody was injured.
I have known too many people who go absolutely ballistic -- taking it as a personal affront -- when somebody makes a mistake and has the incredible nerve to actually damage their property.
It is amazing how many things that seem utterly catastrophic at the time are just dim, unimportant memories a year later.

Hey, you're welcome. I love your Boxster S logo too!
FYI, I figured out how to get the perfect color match on the Boxster if anyone's interested. I'll post pics later.

I'd definitely be interested in getting a good color match. I'm awaiting an amber screen, but not sure if it will match close enough. I'm open for all suggestions.

oh, btw, I can't take credit for the Boxster S boot logo. I wasn't the one who created it. I just meant that I needed to upload it to the Empeg player. I wish I had the artistic skill for that logo. All my attempts were miserable failures.

Here's the trick: I used the amber screen but it's too yellow to match well, so I printed out one of Beaker's templates, but I modified the color to: C0 M80 Y60 K0 - the color that Corel draw calls "tropical pink" and put that behind the yellow screen. The orange is a perfect match now!
Beaker's corel draw template is here.
Good luck!

I have known too many people who go absolutely ballistic -- taking it as a personal affront -- when somebody makes a mistake and has the incredible nerve to actually damage their property.
People fly way off the handle on that sort of thing. The street I work on is a hot spot for accidents, so I watch many such incidents involving someone going ballistic (9 times out of 10, the idiot who caused it) over a scratch or a dent, usually not major damage.
But then again, I work with people like this. They didn't understand my "s**t happens" attitude when I got a tiny nick in my bumper while my car was parked on the street.
Some people have no proper grounding in reality.

Gotta admit, a couple years back, I would've gone off on the guy. Maybe I've just matured. Nah, that can't be it
Don't know when it was, but at some point I fully understood the fact that cars can be replaced/repairs while people may not. I am actually happy that I was driving the boxster in this incident. If I had been in my durango then there is no way I could have slowed as much as I did and there would definitely have been more serious damage and likely personal injuries.
But, I'm rambling. Thanks for your compliment though. It is just a car, no matter what the badges may read.

I know when it was for me. Was when I became a parent.

Oh, ok. Print them from an Inkjet color printer on to an Inkjet overhead-projector transparency, something like this.
I actually print them twice on the same page, to get better color saturation and prevent little white lines from being a bother.
Almost any inkjet printer will do nicely, but depending on how accurate your color rendering is, and what kind of color inks you're using, you may have to tweak the color slightly to get a perfect match. Make sure to use Inkjet transparencies as other kinds won't work in inkjet printers (the ink won't dry).
Then just cut it out and place it behind the amber screen, and put the player back together.
Voilą!
