I took both of my roombas to work and let them run around in the evenings for entertainment (yah, I know, I'm easily amused).
The old one still has the annoying '8-beeps' problem.
I'm going to try swapping in the new battery and see if that changes anything. Hmm, I could also swap out the new bin, as it contains the vacuum motor that is the origin of the alert message. Nice to have some experiments on the agenda, but not nice to not have much time to try things (work is crazy right now).
Otherwise, my new Discovery is working great and it's fun to see some of the differences in path strategy. Docking is greatly enhanced, that's for sure.
Had both of them running around my office once- they'd bump each other and try to do a 'roll-out' maneuver around each other.
