(To be an ultra-serious samaritan, you need some diesel fuel as well... ) Really, in the days when I drove Citroen 2CV with inoperable instruments (any instruments), so the only way to estimate the qantity of fuel left was calendar or tapping the tank and therefore spare fuel was a must, I was rescuing about one stranded fuel-starved driver a month.
