Authenticity of scripture is a whole different question, and you can use that response of any point someone might make when they appeal to scripture (I think there is plenty of evidence that what we have today is an accurate text, but that's for another thread someday). Suffice to say, both John and I place a high value in the words of scripture. Whatever others might believe, we will both come away with the understanding that our primary job in this life is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ.
